I thought it’d be nice to show you all my favourite beauty products every month. Even though I’m primarily a fashion blogger, I do love make-up and other beauty products. Make-up is another way to get creative with your style, and taking care of your skin just makes you feel lovely. What’s not to love?
First I’ll start with the basics, skincare. I’m extremely envious of those who have managed to find their perfect skincare routine, which has proved to be a very hard task for me. I’m not sure about the main cause of my breakouts but I have tried the Clinique 3 Step System which proved pretty much useless. So I’m on the quest for the perfect skincare products now. Feel free to throw any recommendations at me!
So here are my gems of the month for my August Beauty Spotlight…
I bought this for the grand sum of £3.75 with the help of a £5 off voucher (free with a £5+ purchase at Boots stores until 12th Sept!). It’s very similar to Liz Earle’s Hot Cloth Cleanser, you massage the cream into your face and use a muslin cloth soaked in hot water to wipe it off.
So far I’m liking it, it feels like a treat to put on my face and it puts an end to me/the floor getting drenched whilst trying to wash off my cleanser. Only bad point is that the muslin cloth is a bit rubbish and it would’ve been nice to include two cloths, so I could switch them up when one was in the washer.
I’ve heard everyone raving about grey nail polishes and seen some girls looking very gorgeous in it, so I thought I’d try it out. I bought Barry M’s as it was the perfect shade i.e. not too light and I have a couple of their other nail paints which I love. A couple coats of this lasts really well and doesn’t chip as easily as other nail polishes I have tried. Grey nails are definitely weird, but in a good way!
