Lace dress – H&M
Plaid shirt – River Island
Long time no see! Sorry for not posting in a while and the lack of outfit posts, has been one of those weeks. I’ve got a tripod now though, so no excuses. Also I’m moving out in 6 days, so I’ll give you a mini tour of my room when I’m all settled in and hopefully it will make outfit posts a lot easier.
As you might have noticed, I have new hair (sort of). Had a little trim and got it coloured and highlighted. My hair is pretty much naturally this shade of brown, minus the highlights, so it’s nice to be rid of the weird, brassy colour I had before. Anyone else go pretty much ginger from at-home dyeing kits? No, just me? haha. I’m not too sure of it yet, but it’ll probably grow on me.
The outfit is a really lazy one, it’s my comfort outfit. Ok, the lace bodycon isn’t super comfortable, but the plaid shirt hides the lumps and bumps! I’m not a really curvy girl, although I do have some big ol’ hips.
One negative point of this week would have to be that my faithful Primark shoes died during a three legged race with my little brother (what a way to go!) as the little gold chain snapped. I felt like a bit of a loser getting the train home with one normal shoe and one falling to pieces! So I need some new ballet shoes. I love those French Sole ones but are they worth their price tag? Anyone have experience of them?
Oh and the last photo, I am wearing a lipstick by Chanel. If you are a red lippy fan but a bit shy about having bright lips, this is the perfect shade for you. It is a bit brighter in real life, I toned the vibrance down in Photoshop so that’s not the exact colour, but it’s really wearable for daytime and night time. It’s Chanel Aqualumiere in Amalfi 71. Although that line might be discontinued now or very soon, so there should be a similar shade in the Rouge Coco range. It’s the perfect duty-free buy, a bit cheaper than UK prices (I bought it in CDG airport in Paris).
Anyways, that’s all for now. Hope you like the new blog layout, check out my other outfit posts if you’re new to Sequin This. And remember to follow me on Google Friend Connect (link on the right hand sidebar) or Bloglovin’ if you want to keep up with my new posts!
