Anyone else lusting over Zara’s September lookbook? It makes me feel all cosy just looking through it! Plenty of neutral colours, which I’m loving for A/W, and some very on trend pieces mixed in with a few trusty classics. I was seriously wanting one of their cream/beige macs in S/S and am still after one for the colder months. So that’s going on my soon-to-be-purchased list! Along with a couple of pairs of boots, a cosy scarf, fingerless/mitten gloves (if you have an iPhone you’ll understand the need for these!) and a million pairs of tights. I usually double up on tights in cold weather, mostly because you can still use those tights that acquire little holes (major annoyance, where do they come from?!) as the other pair disguises the holes, but also because I love dresses and skirts but cannot stand being freezing cold.
Less about my crafty ways, more about Zara’s amazing new online store. It took long enough, right? Just kidding, but this is such a great idea! My local Zara in Manchester city centre is lovely, especially on the first floor where they have the women’s collection. They usually have it merchandised quite well. However, the casual collection downstairs sometimes makes it quite difficult to find clothes you really want. So this whole online store business means you spend less time wandering aimlessly round the store and more time burning a hole in your pocket, or rather your debit card! Plus you can see the clothes on models and how they fit, which is always nice.
These three looks from the casual TRF collection are such lovely Autumn outfits! Obviously in the UK, having bare legs in September usually requires a lot of optimism about the weather and an air of ‘I don’t really care if I get cold, this is fashion’, which I am too pessimistic/wimpy to possess. So I have to visualize these looks with tights and I have to say, they still look fab! Absolute favourite is the middle dress, hello peter pan collar and gorgeous print. As far as I’m aware, it’s not in their store online or offline (did I just refer to the real world as offline?) and as soon as it lands I’m definitely snapping one up.
Slouchy jumper and little faux leather shorts are stunning too! Oh and those boots! I tried the brogues on in store and as much as I am in love with them, what with being perfection and all, they look really massive on me from the side angle. That may be because I am 5ft4 with size 6/6.5 feet, depressing. If you love brogues though, snap some up.
I’m pretty sure the middle jacket/coat is the one I tried on today in store and fell in love with. It’s ยฃ59.99, I think, and really does suit me. It’s not as long as their other coats, which is good because I’m not that tall. In short, I love it. The other two looks are cute and I could imagine me wearing them as I do love wearing my jeans (Topshop usually because the fit is amazing) and I’m liking harem pants but haven’t yet plucked up the courage to just buy a pair.
I’d just like to apologise for being a bit rubbish lately, I’ve barely had time to think about blog posts (between injuring my toe like an idiot and a busy schedule) and didn’t want to just post something with me nattering about nothing. I’m all moved into my house but money is tight until my bank sort their act out, so no shopping posts just yet. Very excited about having a mini Manchester shopping spree though!
P.S. if you have a blog which I’m not already following, let me know in the comments and I’ll take a look. I genuinely love reading new blogs, bit of a blog addict ๐
