Cupcakes from Jellytots and Dollymixtures
I only came into Selfridges for a red lipstick and somehow ended up downstairs in the food department. Isn’t that always the case though? Last time I went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester (a couple of weeks ago now) I tweeted about the amazing red velvet cupcake I had from Jellytots and Dollymixtures in Selfridges and was happy to find out they had them in the city centre Selfridges as well.
The thing I found when I went to seek out these cupcakes yesterday was that they were next to another cupcake brand. These were dainty little pretty cupcakes with shoes and handbags on them. I think I’d have to choose masses of frosting over tiny handbags any day! I bought four because I was being a samaritan type and sharing them with my housemates. The girls were very appreciative haha.
They come in a variety of flavours, I spied a strawberry cream and also a vanilla one which looked equally yummy. Sadly I couldn’t see any special Halloween ones (Black Velvet and Caramel Apple in Selfridges, with more Halloween ones in their bakery in Sale) as I think they’d sold out by the time I got there.
So if you live in and around Manchester, or you’re paying a visit, get down to their little section in Selfridges. They’re next to Krispy Kreme in Exchange Square, which is the city centre one. Highly recommended if you have a major sweet tooth like me!
