Really sorry about my little blogging absence, I had my first deadline of the year on Wednesday and that, with work as well, made things a little busy on my end! But I’m back with another Beauty Spotlight for you girls 🙂 First up are my Eyeko goodies which I ordered a week or two ago. Oh and I received some polishes ages ago too, in Posh and Saucy. They are both perfection, seriously. The Saucy one is the perfect red and two coats + a top coat doesn’t budge for a good 5 days before little chips appear. It’s my go-to red now. And I wore the Posh colour (grey-beige) to work and a woman commented on it, asking where I could buy it. So they’re both awesome.
Eyeko Fat Balm in Cherry
and Eyeko Extra Glow Cream
I ordered the Fat Balm in Cherry and the Extra Glow Cream. Both, as you can see, have amazing packaging which is always a little bonus for anyone who views packaging design as highly as I do. I always point out amazing packaging when I’m food shopping with my mum and she just rolls her eyes at me haha.
Anyways, I actually really love the Fat Balm. It smells of cherry but doesn’t taste of it that much, which is probably a good thing as I don’t end up lip smacking every two seconds. It’s a lovely red colour, though not as full on as a red lipstick so it’s great for those who are a bit lipstick shy. You can also use it on your cheeks as blusher, which looks cute too. I’m very much a powder blusher girl, so I’ve only used it once as blusher. You can see me wearing it as a lippie here in my ‘dead’ Snow White costume!
The Extra Glow cream is pretty good, just been using it here and there as a highlighter. It’s really lovely and glowy, so you can use it as a base underneath your foundation or just apply it to the areas you want to highlight.
You can use my Eyeko Ambassadors code E11452 if you are looking to buy any Eyeko products. If you use my code you’ll get a free gift with orders over £10!
No 7 Protect & Perfect
Intense Day Cream
I’ve heard really great things about the No 7 Protect & Perfect range at Boots and I was in the market for a moisturiser with SPF and UVA protection, so when the staff double discount days came around I decided to buy the day cream. I used my £5 No 7 voucher too, so it was really cheap, but it usually retails for around £21.50. Obviously this is great for those who have fine lines and early signs of ageing, but also for those who worry that wrinkles are on the horizon (me) and want to avoid them for a while longer!
It comes in a glass pot with 50ml of product, which is pretty good. I can tell it’ll last me a while, as a little goes a long way. If you have dry skin, this could be good for you too, as anti-ageing moisturisers are quite rich. I bought my mum the beauty serum for Christmas, so we’ll see if there’s any visible effects with the use of that!
Soap & Glory Arc De Triumph
Brow Shaper & Highlighter
This is hands down my favourite product this month. I bought it from Boots in their Soap & Glory 3 for 2 offer (which is still on at the time of publishing this post!), where I also got the Clean, Girls body wash and their Flake Away body polish scrub, which both smell AMAZING!
As you can see, it’s double ended and it comes in one colour which I would say is a neutral dark brown and is perfect for most brunettes. I used to have a brow pencil but it would always come on way too strong and give me really dark crazy lady eyebrows. This is a lot more subtle, and just helps to give a little shape to sparse eyebrows. The highlighter is applied just under the arc of your brow, to define it a bit more. I’ve actually been using it quite a lot considering I have a full fringe and my brows are rarely seen anyways!
Before I finish, a big thanks to Beth of Anchor Rose for featuring me on her Follow Friday post and hi to my new followers and readers! Over 200 on Google Friend Connect now, woo!
