Good Things Skincare
I first noticed the range whilst tidying up skincare at work and I fell in love with the packaging (story of my life). I then found some great reviews by Jennie, of SailorJennie, here and I was definitely sold! They are all gorgeously fruity and designed by beauty journalist Alice Hart-Davis especially for younger skin. My favourites are the Five Minute Facial face mask and Total Wipe Out face wipes. Definitely a range to try if you love to have soft skin that smells yummy!
Hill Cottage Bakery Brownies
I have bought these AMAZING brownies twice now. They are my new payday pick-me-up for sure and even the people at Vogue love them! The Hill Cottage Bakery is run by a lovely lady called Amanda Armstrong who sells her delicious brownies from the website and posts them out first class in the UK. They are always immaculately wrapped and amazingly tasty, as they’re made from local free-range eggs and butter. My tip is to order them before 10am and she will dispatch them the same day as she bakes to order, so they will arrive as fresh as possible. The Very Berry ones are my favourite and you can ask for a selection of whichever you want if you fancy the look of them all. Pricey but very satisfying.
The Newspaper Club
This one might appeal to design students more than others, but it’s definitely something cool to check out and pass on to your friends. The Newspaper Club is a company that produces self-designed tabloid newspapers at a relatively small cost. You design the newspaper, they produce it. On Flickr you can find the papers that have been produced and it just shows you that this is such an amazing medium to work on! People have used this service to produce unique portfolios, niche newspapers and even to print their dissertations on to. The one pictured is titled ‘The news is, there is no news’. Pretty cool stuff.
