Beauty is not really the main focus of this blog, but it is a part of it and I love being able to share my favourite products with you all. So I thought I’d do a little review of my new favourite nail polish colour at the moment, Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Rose Libertine, and my holy grail of top coats, Seche Vite!
Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Rose Libertine
I have gone through a few phases this Summer when it comes to nail polish, I loved my 17 Supreme Shine ‘Wave’ and Models Own ‘Lilac Dream’, but I think this is one of my favourite polishes EVER. It looks a little baby pink-ish in the bottle (perhaps the lighting) but once you get two coats on it looks pink with a hint of coral/peach.
The brush is amazing too, I think all nail polishes should have wider brushes because it makes it a total dream to apply. Needless to say, I will definitely be repurchasing and it’s most likely being packed into my suitcase when I jet off on my hols tomorrow!
Pros: Flattering shade for any skin tone, opaque, great brush, inexpensive
Cons: There doesn’t seem to be much in a bottle (8ml)

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
It might be a bit silly to say this is a HG top coat for me, since I have a couple problems with it, but it’s because the pros seriously outweigh the cons that makes this an amazing product for me. Seche Vite is pretty popular in the nail art community (I believe WAH Nails favour it?) basically for being a really high gloss finish, super fast drying top coat.
If you’re anything like me and you regularly have the great (ahem) idea of painting your nails 10 minutes before you go out, then wait for them to dry but accidentally smudge one and want to cry… you need this in your life. You can do your nails, slick this straight over wet nail polish and have them dry in I’d say a minute tops.
The one problem I find with this is that if you’re, say, going to work and using your hands, you might find it chips quite easily. And sometimes you only have to snag a corner and you can take the whole nail’s nail polish off in one peel. So definitely not good for those who like to peel their nail polish off (or it is good, in a way, but not if you want to keep it on for a while!).
Pros: Super fast drying, goes over wet polish, high gloss finish
Cons: Quite easily chips off, brush isn’t very wide
