Oh yes, it’s that time of year again. It’s no longer sensible to go outside with just a cardy or a jumper on, it’s most definitely jacket weather. For me, this is always an awkward time of year because I have three lovely & warm coats that are perfect for the dead of Winter but way too hot for now. So I’ve picked out a selection of leather jackets for women, a lovely quilted jacket and the fashion favourite, a shearling cape. All from the people who know their jackets inside out, IL2L.
If you’re looking for leather biker jacket inspiration, I don’t think you can get much better than Morven. She rocks the leather biker jacket with a gorgeous chiffon dress and wine coloured fedora, edgy but still very feminine!
I love how Olivia has styled her cape. I think because capes are a very fashion forward piece, they look best when paired with a basic outfit. The IL2L faux fur shearling cape would look fab with some black skinny jeans and a pair of this season’s chelsea boots.
The quilted jacket. Immediately Barbour comes to mind, but when you’re on a budget the IL2L quilted jacket is a much better alternative. It looks best with a casual outfit, perhaps denim shirt, layers, jersey shorts and ankle boots, à la Alice.
Last but not least, the leather gilet. It toughens up a girly print dress, like Hedvig is wearing, but in the current weather you might require a few pairs of tights and a long-sleeved dress! A great investment piece, the leather gilet will see you all the way through til Summer (perfect for festival season!).
