Dresses
With party season creeping up on us, you have to be ready with a wardrobe full of dress choices. I’m sure I’m not the only one who ends up trying on about five options before finally settling on the first one I tried on!
My favourite picks are two bodycon numbers, naturally. The Karen Millen colourblock pencil dress can be dressed down with ankle boots and a backpack for daytime or glammed up with statement jewellery and heels for night time. Or if you want to turn a few more heads, I love this side split midi dress from Missguided. Sexy and a steal at less than £25!
For daytime, I’m dying to get my hands on this French Connection grid print dress, which I’d pair with some opaque tights and ankle boots for the perfect office attire. And for super cosy weekends, there’s this oversized roll neck jumper dress from ASOS that basically would be like a wearing a huge cosy blanket all day… ideal.

If you manage to make it through winter in the UK without ever wearing a chunky knit jumper I would be seriously impressed. But you’d also have missed out on months of pure cosiness. My pick for AW14 has to be a chunky knit, but obviously with my favourite trend this season – the roll neck! This Vero Moda roll neck jumper is navy (approved A/W colour), chunky and has that all important roll neck. Tick tick tick!
Monki are one of my absolute fave brands this year, they’re churning out so many covetable pieces and they’re not even pricey! I love this mustard-coloured silky pocket shirt, it’s 100% making its way into my work wardrobe.
For post-work cocktails there’s this lace insert cami from Missguided, throw on some heels and some vampy lipstick and you’ll look glam in no time. Or there’s this Warehouse metallic t-shirt for a shimmery take on a classic tee, low-key party attire at its best.

During the colder months, it’s rare to see me out of my standard pair of black Topshop Leigh jeans, but there are a few additions I’d love to see in my wardrobe to change it up a little. First up, mom jeans. I know they’re an acquired taste, but I love this pair of black Missguided ripped mom jeans. Keep it smart up top and you’re on to a winner.
My second choice is this checked skirt from Warehouse, which would look great with a chunky roll neck jumper and some black loafers. Try not to pair with a shirt unless you want some funny looks from people who might question whether you’re too old to be going to school!
And finally, the Topshop black coated Jamie jeans are almost definitely going to be making their way into my wardrobe. I hate uncomfortable, sweaty leather pants, so these are a great alternative. I’ll be pairing them with everything.
