Meet the Trends with Supercuts

This week I had the pleasure of paying the team at Supercuts a visit to chat about all things hair care and their involvement in an upcoming event at Manchester Arndale. Meet the Trends will be taking place in the Arndale on the 10th and 11th October, 12-6pm, with fashion showcases of key Autumn/Winter trends, as well as lots of demonstrations and styling advice from the centre’s top beauty brands. Supercuts will be offering up free session styling and hair consultations to those who pay them a visit during the event.

I was kindly asked to be the blog ambassador for Supercuts for Meet the Trends, so I’ll be heading down there to watch the team help you guys with your hair dilemmas and hopefully to get a cheeky hair styling session in there too!

Now, don’t get me wrong, Supercuts haven’t always had the best reputation and have been off my radar for quite a while, but after meeting with them this week I left with a whole new respect for the brand and how far they’ve come. Michael, who heads up the Manchester Arndale salon, explained that every single member of his team has a minimum of 6 years experience cutting and styling hair. Their colourist is also highly trained, with lots of experience and a diploma under their belt. So it’s super reassuring to know they can offer such affordable hair cuts, blow dries and colour treatments whilst also being trained to a consistently high level. What’s not to love about a cut & blow from £20.95?!

I managed to get my hands on a whole heap of Kerastase products (and the Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry spray because it’s the best dry shampoo ever!) from the Supercuts salon, which the team will be showing off at Meet the Trends next week. 

Keep an eye out for Kerastase Touche Finale, a shine serum which I’ve been coating my dry ends with all weekend and the Mousse Bouffante, a blow dry gel that gives you amazing Cheryl Cole-style volume. Another favourite is the Kerastase Discipline range, as their shampoo helps tame my sometimes-unruly locks whilst still being gentle on my sensitive scalp. So hard to find in a shampoo for me!
