After my introduction to the Clarins Autumn/Winter Ladylike Collection back in August, I’ve found myself wanting to add more and more items from it into my own makeup collection. The packaging is always pretty, luxurious and everything is so wearable, it’s hard not to fall in love with it all.
Next on my hit list though was the Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette, which comes in a variety of different shades. Normally I’d be very safe and go with the Nudes or Skin Tones shades, but this time I decided to go a little bit out of my comfort zone and opt for Forest, which has two neutral shades and two green shades. So here’s what I thought of it…
The one thing you can always count on with Clarins, is that the packaging will always be beautiful and look lovely sat amongst your other makeup. From the bright red statement box to the velvety sleeve and right down to the luxurious shiny gold compact, the packaging on this palette is perfection. Definitely a ‘wow’ pressie to gift to your mum, mother-in-law, glam granny or older sister this Christmas!
Overall I was really impressed with the quality of this eyeshadow palette. I used the shades dry for a more subtle look but they can also be used wet to give more intensity when you need it. I’d recommend using some good eyeshadow blending brushes, such as the Real Techniques Starter Kit, but if you’re travelling light then the palette does come with two mini brushes that are perfectly fine to use.
With its easy to follow eyeshadow look instruction cards, this would really make the perfect gift for a mum, granny, aunty, best friend or sister that doesn’t usually wear much makeup but wants a glam look for the party season. The shades are completely wearable for most skin tones and can be intensified when used wet.
