Angel Gravity Star by Thierry Mugler*

On my birthday last week, almost as if by some sort of birthday magic, a huge mystery parcel arrived at my door. When I tore it apart, like the half-mad “it’s my birthday” girl I had become that day, I found a box of treats from Thierry Mugler.
They have recently launched a new bottle for their hugely popular fragrance, Angel. The Angel Gravity Star* is a decorative 75ml refillable EDP bottle, which sits on your dressing table in a variety of positions, almost ‘defying gravity’. It’s arguably their best bottle design so far, looking more like a small, ornate work of art than a perfume bottle.
On first spray, this is quite a strong fragrance, with immediate top notes of red fruits, caramel and honey. Not to my usual sweet and light fragrance preference for the daytime, but absolutely perfect to spray on before a night out.
Its lasting power on the skin is great and you’ll still be saying to your friends/random strangers in the street “ooo who smells so good?” hours later, when you’ve forgot you’d even put it on.
Getting Personal
Although not every bottle comes with its very own star, like my new intergalactic star ‘The Sarah Star’, there are some great options for personalising your bottle of Angel on the Thierry Mugler website.
It’s not currently available for this particular bottle design, but for £12 extra you can have your name engraved on selected fragrances to give it an extra special touch. Perfect if you’re buying this as a gift, although obviously get their name engraved and not yours 😉
