My Summer Lingerie Essentials
Lately I’ve been an absolute sucker for pretty lingerie. When you stop bundling yourself up in chunky jumpers and start wearing camis and strapless dresses, you start to think a little more about what you’re wearing underneath. There’s a lot less picking a bra out of your underwear drawer at random in the summer, that’s for sure.
I’ve been eyeing up the Rosie for Autograph range since forever, although I’m not always sure whether I want the lingerie or just Rosie’s insane body! Thankfully, Marks & Spencer sent across a few pieces from the range that I promise look stunning on all shapes & sizes.
To help guide you in the right direction for summer, they also recently put together a Summer Lingerie Guide for choosing or updating your summer lingerie wardrobe. It’s really useful if you’re looking for no-VPL knickers (not always glamorous, but very essential), a silky bra that you don’t mind peeking out from under a drop armhole vest or even some summery PJs that can handle a heatwave.
Rosie for Autograph
My first choice from Rosie’s collection had to be the silk camisole and matching French knickers, which are the perfect attire for lounging around the house on a Sunday morning with a good cup of coffee in hand. Much prettier than my usual worn-looking t-shirt! They were also a bit of a godsend during the hottest day of the year, when regular clothes just didn’t cut it.
Although I was drawn to the silk padded plunge bra and matching Brazilian knickers in the rather neutral ‘Copper Tan’, I ended up opting for a brighter shade of ‘Cranberry’ which feels much more summery than my usual lingerie choices. It’s the kind of underwear set that you definitely don’t mind wearing under something sheer and the silk material feels incredibly luxurious.
The collection is inspired by the Orient and it definitely comes through in some of the pieces. I’ve got my eye on a lightweight dressing gown/robe next!
