Christmas Gift Guide for Girls
I used to go ALL IN with my Christmas gift guides back in the day but this year I’ve reined it in a little with just the one. Sorry boys but this one is mostly for the girls!
I’ve handpicked some of my favourite items that I think would make amazing presents, small and big budgets alike, for all of the girls in your life.
That could be your super deserving mum, your spoilt little sister, your bestest of besties or even something for yourself to say ‘congrats on another year of being excellent’.
One for Cosy Toes
If your feet aren’t snuggled up in a pair of these this winter, you’re seriously missing out! The UGG Scuffette slippers (£75) are pure cosiness and would make a gorgeous gift for literally everyone and anyone. I wear mine every single night when I get home from work so I can vouch for them!
They’re lined with sheepskin to keep your feet super warm and feature a fluffy sheepskin collar. I also prefer these over slipper boots as they’re easier to slip on & off and they keep your feet at the perfect temperature.
UGG are also offering a bespoke monogramming service at their London stores right up until Christmas Eve, as well as complimentary monogramming on certain dates at their instore events (more info here!)
One for makeup junkies
Chances are, you definitely have a girl in your friendship group who obsesses over makeup palettes (I think that’s me in mine!)
Urban Decay, aka creator of the most coveted palettes, recently launched the latest addition to their Vice collection. The Vice 4 palette (£43) is loud & proud, super pigmented and perfect for girls who love to make a statement with their eye makeup.
One for party girls
I feel like this is one of those bags that looks much more expensive than it actually is, making it a lovely pressie if you’re keeping to a strict budget this year.
This sparkly little embellished clutch (£14) is actually from everyone’s fave supermarket fashion brand, George at Asda. I’m going to rocking mine with an LBD on New Year’s Eve!
One for Bronzed Babes
I know this one is a gift guide for girls but this particular gift is great for all fake tanning addicts! My brother loves a good high end tanning product and I can’t wait to introduce him to Vita Liberata with this little gift set.
‘The Perfect Gift’ (£29.95) contains a 100ml tanning lotion, mini tanning mitt and their self tanning bronzing mineral powder & brush set. It’s all perfectly packaged up in a purple box, making wrapping an absolute dream.
One for Chocaholics
Chocolate is a pretty failsafe present for everyone. I mean, you really shouldn’t have anyone who hates chocolate in your inner circle. If you’re looking for imaginative, festive & tasty chocs for presents this year, you’d be mad not to hit up Hotel Chocolat.
There’s something there for all budgets (hello £300 chocolate hamper!) but I love their Winter Desserts Sleekster (£22), which contains 27 delicious chocolates inspired by classic winter puddings. Think carrot cake, mince pie brownie, trillionaire’s shortbread and apple strudel.
Perfect for parents, when we know our mums will demolish the whole box before their other half gets a look in.
One for planners
We all have a mate who obsessively organises everything and has to consult their diary before agreeing to give you a slice of their time. Help them stay organised with a stunning Ban.do 2015/2016 planner (£20).
I really should’ve photographed the inside because it’s really fun and quirky. Think cute stickers, ~inspirational~ quotes and loads of illustrations. It perks me up every time I get to write something in it!
One for the pampered
If you know someone who loves nothing more than a big bubble bath, a juicy novel and some candles after a long day at work, then you can’t go wrong with a little slice of OSKIA.
I’ve spoken of my love for the brand before and I probably won’t stop singing their praises any time soon. They’re a super luxe British skincare brand with the most amazing scented products, particularly if you love rose scents.
Their Skin Smoothing Massage Candle (£34.50) would make such a lovely gift for someone who truly appreciates a good pampering session.
You can use the candle to fill the room with a gorgeous rose scent and then massage the warm oil into your skin after a relaxing soak in the tub. I’m drifting off to sleep as I type this, bliss!
One for bloggers
If you are a blogger or you know a blogger, you’ll have already heard a ridiculous amount of praise for the Olympus PEN E-PL7 (from £429). Since buying one a few months ago, this baby has had way more outings than my DSLR and the photos it produces are of a very similar quality.
It’s perfect for those who are serious about great photography but also want some with portability and a little more style than a chunky DSLR.
I also have the 45mm 1.8 lens (£179), which would make an incredible gift for someone who already owns the PEN or as an addition to the camera if you’re spoiling someone absolutely silly this Christmas.
One for the tree
I’m half joking about this being ‘one for the tree’, as though we live in a decadent world where we actually decorate our Christmas trees in high end beauty products… a girl can dream!
Charlotte Tilbury is absolutely owning the beauty gift sets this festive season, with a gift set for every budget. I love these Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms (£29) as you get three mini wearable CT lippies but they’re also really affordable and would make ideal pressies for your friends who deserve something a little special.
I gifted this to my gorgeous friend Alice at work because she always rocks a great red or nude lip!
One for bookworms
I’m allowed to say ‘bookworms’ because I totally am one. I know print is much better but if you’re rubbish at holding up huge George R.R. Martin books then the Kobo Aura e-reader (£79.99) would be an ideal gift to receive this Christmas.
I’m currently reading Thrive by Arianna Huffington on mine and it’s a great little device because it’s compact, light, backlit and the user interface is much more aesthetically pleasing than a Kindle.
