Embracing Spring & Summer
It’s officially the first day of spring and we’ve been treated to some suspiciously nice weather in Manchester! So to celebrate longer days, blue skies and eventually being able to pack away our winter coats, I’ve rounded up some new spring/summer scents to get you all in a sunshine & rainbows kind of mood.
When it comes to transitional fashion, I’m absolutely rubbish. I pretty much just wear the same kind of clothes all year round, minus a layer or two. But when it comes to fragrance, I love to switch it up and use some fresher and fruitier scents to match the change in temperature.
Michael Kors Sexy Sunset
I’ve spoken about the Michael Kors fragrances in a previous post and this time round, I’m even more impressed with their offering. They definitely know how to nail summer fragrances!
The Michael Kors Sexy Sunset* (30ml, £39) is a limited edition eau de parfum fragrance that is designed to remind you of that beautiful moment when the sun sets in an exotic location. It has top notes of nashi pear, blackcurrant and freesia, giving it both a fruity and floral scent.
Even from the bottle alone, I knew I’d love this fragrance. It reminds me of some of the fragrances I used to wear as a teen and brings back memories of my trip to the exotic beaches of Thailand. Grab the 30ml of this and pack it in your holiday suitcase, you won’t regret it!
Michael Kors Coral
If you’re looking for a slightly more grown up summer scent, then Michael Kors Coral eau de parfum* (50ml, £58) is the one for you. Their newest limited edition fragrance is a fruity explosion that’s definitely going to be one of my go-to summer scents.
With top notes of sweet mandarin, zesty pink grapefruit, pink pepper and blackcurrant, it’s the perfect accessory for a summer spent on the beach with a cocktail in hand.
If you want to get your hands on this beauty, it’s available exclusively at Harrods until the 30th March, when it will become available nationwide.
DKNY Electric Citrus Pulse
Last up is a fragrance from the brand new, limited edition DKNY Be Delicious Electric Collection. The DKNY Electric Citrus Pulse eau de toilette* (50ml, £37) is hard to miss with its neon orange packaging and bottle, shaped in the classic Be Delicious apple.
Although this is also a fragrance with notes of mandarin, it’s a much sweeter scent than the Coral perfume. It’s also blended with notes of nectarine and passion fruit, which gives it that extra sweetness you could just eat up (not literally though, of course).
If you’re a fan of the original DKNY Be Delicious fragrances, you’ll no doubt love this one too, despite it being a far departure from the collection’s signature apple scent.
Which fragrances do you love to wear in the spring & summer months?
