My Autumn Wishlist
Believe it or not, it’s actually still Autumn, even though it feels like the depths of Winter outside. It’s definitely my favourite time of year though, when the crisp air means you can drape yourself in cosy knits and thick coats. In any case, it’s always the time of year when I tend to buy the most new clothes.
The gals at Pretty Little Thing kindly offered to send me some of the pieces from my AW17 wishlist, so I thought I’d share some of them with you. I’ve never actually shopped at PLT before as I thought it just wasn’t ‘my style’, but I found loads of gems for my AW17 wardrobe!
The Blouses
I always struggle to find tops for going out. Since I wear jeans 99% of the time, I’m forever on the hunt for a ‘nice top’ to go with them. Blouses are the perfect solution and I love this Dark Rose Wrap Front Tie Side Blouse.
It comes in loads of different colours (eyeing up the khaki version too!) and it flashes just the right amount of flesh for an evening out. If you wore it with high waisted jeans (I feel like these are more mid waist) then it would be perfect!

The Coats
The one thing I’ll usually invest in each season is a new coat or jacket. I’m always willing to pay a little more too, as I know I’ll get a good cost per wear. I have a couple of thick wool coats that I whip out when the temperature hits minus figures, but I decided to pick this Grey Check Double Breasted Coat for when it’s not as cold. It’s more of a duster coat, but with a little bit of lining, buttons that you can do up and nice deep pockets at the front.
Lighter coats like this one are perfect for nights out too. I definitely could have done with one back when I was 19 in my little tiny bodycon dresses, walking from bar to club in the depths of winter! That made me shiver just typing it out…

The Blazers
Not the kind of piece I would usually pick up, but I couldn’t help but choose this classic Red Stripe Belted Blazer. It’s a bit boobier on the model than in real life, but that’s totally fine by me! This little beauty is perfect with a pair of jeans and heels for work or play. Again, like the blouse, in comes in lots of different colourways and there are even matching trousers if you want to go all out.

The Black Boots
Ah, the black boot. An absolute hero in every girl’s shoe collection. When you wear black jeans 99% of the time, it’s always good to have a killer pair of black boots like these Black Faux Leather Sock Boots. They’re a bit sassier than my usual choice and I can barely walk in them yet but I love the fit and the style. They transform a casual outfit into something really sexy! Perfect date night boots.
